Jamie Vardy- who is this guy and is he genuine????

Jamie Vardy who?

Unless your a die hard Leicester fan I bet you weren't too sure who this new superstar was until he suddenly started scoring a tonne of goals. well we've all heard of him now, 11 goals in 11 games, but he still hasn't started for England for a while so where did it all start?
He was born on the 11th of January in 1987 to the name Jamie Richard Vardy and the rest is history. He currently represents Leicester and England in a central or wide striker role how did he get there then, not through an academy?

No, at the age of 16 Vardy was released by Sheffield Wednesday, but that didnt stop him, he started his senior career at Stocksbridge Park Steels in 2007. He spent three seasons there and then joined the northern Premier League (I know, I had no idea there was such a thing) side Halifax town in 2010. So while he was playing for a team in an unknown league his fellow England compatriots that he plays with now were playing in the South Africa World cup. Now look how he has caught up with them! For Halifax Town Vardy scored 27 goals in his debut season and won the clubs player of the year (a difficult task I am sure). Then he moved to the Conference Premier steam Fleetwood Town in August in the year 2011 for an undisclosed fee. in his debut season there he scored 31 league goals and helped the team to win the division and at the same time the player of the year as well. In the month of May in 2012 Jamie got a dream transfer to Leicester City who were at the time in the Championship. He cost the team 1 million pounds which was a record fee for a non-league player. He went on to represent the club in the Premier League after winning the Championship in 2014.

Next thing we know Jamie Vardy scores eleven goals in eleven games for Leicester and becomes a record breaker breaker Ruud van Nisterlrooy's record of ten goals in ten consecutive games and making his international debut.

So what next for Vardy? Well, so far this season it looks like Leicester may be able to challenge for a europa league spot so he may want to go for glory there or some larger clubs have seen this run in his form and would look to land him. Teams that are completely toothless upfront like Manchester United and Chelsea who opted to play without a striker this weekend? Could he be on his way to one of these teams, let me know what you think in the comments below; I'd love top know.

Welcome to Premier League Weekly

Welcome

Hello viewer, as you have hopefully guessed this is a blog about the premier league (if not then you reallllyyy should have read the title). So what do I mean by that? Well, every week I am going to analyse the weeks premier league games, throw in a few stats and maybe mid week we'll have a look at some individual players or teams.
I am going to start this week with the analysis which I'll publish once this Sundays league games have been played or struggled in the sad case of Chelsea no doubt.

Tottenham
Chelsea

3 - 1
With Tottenham on such as strong run it really is hard to see Chelsea who admittedly finally has a few wins behind them getting the better of them.  Kane is in top form so it’s hard to see them not scored with a week and confidence shy Chelsea back four.  But this is Chelsea, anything could happen.
West Ham
West Brom
14:05
1 - 1
A game against West Ham is always a hard one but Brom will be spurred on by their somewhat lucky win over Arsenal last week. West Ham are the giant killers so far this season but they have slipped more than once in the games against the lower league teams
Liverpool
Swansea
16:15
1 - 2
Swansea are in desperate need of a win and I think this could be the one, but with Liverpool thrashing City last week it will not be easy. Nobody can doubt the managerial prowess of Klopp but we have seen them slip before.
Norwich
Arsenal
16:15
0 - 3
Arsenal had a dreadful match last weekend where everything seemed to go against them; I can’t see that happening again. With a solid victory against Zagreb in the mid-week there players will not be as fresh but I can’t see them loosing 2 league matches in a row. This game promises to be fast and full of quality football.
